Whitehots is one of Canada's largest public library suppliers. Whitehots was incorporated in August 1987 when Russ and Sharon Culver purchased the wholesale division of White's Book Shop from John White. For over 20 years, Whitehots has continued to expand, both the customer base and the depth and breadth of services. Whitehots is conveniently located in Aurora, Ontario, on the northern edge of the Greater Toronto Area and adjacent to Ontario's dynamic and thriving "Golden Horseshoe." This excellent location allows us quick access to many large library systems and all major publishers.

Whitehots produces selection lists specifically geared to the public library market. From our original Adult Bestsellers, which are now produced three times a year, to selection lists which cover almost all acquisition requirements: adult fiction and nonfiction new publications; monthly mass markets; children's fiction, nonfiction, picture books, board books, paperbacks and young adult; audios; and many other areas of interest. These selections are recognized as the best and our team have many years experience working with Canadian libraries and publishers.

Whitehots has expanded its service to satisfy all the acquisition needs of our customers. We source product from all over the world at competitive discounts. We handle many Automatic Release Programs and opening collections for new libraries, new branches or genre specific collection updates and expansions. Further enhancements to our service include providing MARC records and complete customized cataloguing and processing. This service is currently outsourced to professional cataloguing companies Duncan Library Services and London West Library Services. Both of these companies specialize in library cataloguing and work closely with us and the libraries. The process is carefully managed by our management team to ensure a timely and cost-effective means to provide the best available services.

Whitehots embraces technology to assist us in providing the most efficient and productive resource supply. This includes E-commerce Internet website and electronic ordering. Service is key and our management and staff have built a reputation for integrity and professionalism through the library and publishing communities.
